And so 2K's responsibility in this regard is to try to be as authentic as it is and and push the boundaries of our culture. If we can incorporate any aspect in that it's going to excite us.I have to ask you this. A lot of fans wondered what the reason behind 2K23 not being a joint cover featuring LeBron and MJ to create the legendary edition? Did you guys consider LeBron?
I know 23 just jumps into everyone's mind, but I think us placing Jordan on an album cover was more of an announcement about the greatest of the past, right? And we felt like this was the greatest 2K ever, therefore we made an impact by placing Jordan on there. It's the year that brought excellence, and we felt that Jordan was the perfect choice. We've obviously worked with LeBron in the past for covers and we'll do so again. LeBron is a fantastic collaborator of ours, but I'm not saying it was always Jordan for us.
I'm sure that the fans want Kobe on 2K24. Could there be a chance of this? Who knows? We're so excited for 2K23 currently. Twenty-four years away isn't enough that we've had those conversations early, and we'll wait and see.At when will you all begin to concentrate on what's coming up in the 2nd half of this year? Well, I doubt we'll ever leave. Obviously the game stays in its life cycle for a few years. We released 2K22 content a week or two ago.
